I’m continuing our Christmas decor tour around the house, this time in our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen decor is minimal, but the smaller touches are some of my favorite holiday decor items.Â
These rooms won’t have nearly as many pictures, as I don’t add a ton of Christmas decor in our kitchen, and I only did a few touches in our dining area.Â
After finishing that up, I edited some of the decor under the hood and moved some things around on the countertop:

At the end of those base cabinets, I installed an IKEA railing that’s always fun to decorate for the holidays:Â
I like using a tray to corral all of the little items in our kitchen that we reach for often — dog and cat treats, salt and pepper, olive oil and more:Â
Last year I picked up that holiday butter dish and it’s functional and pretty Christmas decor. I also put toothpicks in the little tiny vintage Santa boots I found years ago. SO cute. On the other side of the room, I moved my DIY spice rack around and it opened up so much room to add a few Christmas touches:

I LOVE those paper Christmas trees — I have a bunch in our family room as well. They fold up flat and are so easy to store.Â
Every year I try to add to my holiday salt and pepper collection. Some are vintage, some are store bought. This year I grabbed these cute gingerbread shakers:Â

And then hung some small wreaths to the backs of our kitchen island stools:Â

I kept things pretty simple in our dining area as well — Norfolk pine garland adds a festive touch draped over our window seat:

These glass Christmas trees (from Target years ago) are still some of my favorite Christmas pieces! I placed some greenery around them for a simple table centerpiece:Â
The battery-operated greenery lights up and I put a couple small twinkle light strands under the glass trees as well. A round mirror is just begging for garlands! It’s an easy way to create a festive look:Â
A reader recently asked how I hang the garlands on mirrors — these small, clear Command hooks are perfect for this. I use a few for each mirror and can make the greenery drape just how I want.Â
I picked up the beautiful “JOY” sign at Hobby Lobby all the way back in August or September! I knew it would sell out fast:Â
Other than a few holiday pillows on the window seat, that was it for this room!Â
I have one more space I hope to upload this weekend — our basement is where I decorate with traditional red and green colors/decor and it’s our favorite place to be this time of year!Â

This is a keeper — saving for later. Love this!
Heads up – Looks inviting — I want to try it out.
Tiny tip – Good call — that’s worth trying. Saving it.
