Christmas is drawing nearer by the day. We are enjoying all the festivities of the season and I’m especially savoring all the outings, the Christmas parties, time with friends, seeing all the lights while driving around and generally making the most of this beautiful month of December. Today I’ll share our Christmas tree with you and the dining room. It doesn’t look much different from last year, except I’ve added a few additional ornaments, but the Shiny Brites are still the star of the show (and Daisy!), as we celebrate the season.

Mark added his Lionel train again and we love the nostalgic feel it gives.

I managed to get Daisy into her Christmas sweater and she did really well posing by the tree as I tried to get her to look at me. She has a habit of looking away when the phone is pointed at her, as if she knows I want to take her picture. I love this one!

This King of Christmas tree (affiliate link) I got last year really fits the room well and it doesn’t take up near as much room as the old one did, so it’s definitely a keeper for our smallish living room.

Little village people under glass is an easy way to display a vignette on the coffee table.

The tree is full of sparkly ornaments and old fashioned tinsel. I love how this tree holds so many ornaments and they can be layered inside.

It’s perfect for displaying these glass ornaments.

Mark had this lighted star and I don’t know where he got it, but I love it on our tree.

It’s a happy colorful tree and we both love it. I added a few more glass garlands this year from Christopher Radko.

Here’s a night shot. Those trains in front are for each of Mark’s 4 daughters. He got trains with their birth years on them.

And one more of cute Daisy by the tree!

I have a small tabletop tree from Lowes in the dining room on the wicker cart. It also has colored lights and can switch back and forth. Unfortunately this tree is no longer available.

I love how it looks in here.

I did a collaboration with CVS this month on a Pinterest video and some of the table items are from there.

The green fabric trees, nutcrackers, red trees, and plaid plates are from CVS, as well as those gift items.

I added colorful ornaments to the centerpiece and the pink deer I found at Homegoods years ago. She’s pretty in pink and looks good with the rest of the table. Those pink and blue glass trees are from Walmart a few years ago.

I do enjoy a colorful table for Christmas.

On the sideboard, I kept it simple with lighted garland and the nutcrackers, red trees, and iron reindeer, also from CVS. I was slow decorating this year, but once I got going it was nice to get it finished by Thanksgiving weekend and now we can enjoy it for at least 6 weeks or more. We love how the house feels with all the Christmas lights illuminating everything. It just gives a soft glow that is so special this time of year as we watch Christmas movies and enjoy the season. I hope you all are savoring all the memories that this season brings! Merry Christmas!
