LAS VEGAS – Italian design house Pininfarina and digital art company InkPoster have unveiled Duna, the world’s first color art poster to house an A1-size screen (23.4 in. x 33.1 in.) surrounded by a hand-crafted sculpted frame.

The companies say that Duna marks the introduction of an entirely new category in digital art that merges Italian product design and large-display technology.  The paper-like screen and year-long cordless life bring a gallery-grade experience to interiors.

Unlike TVs and photo frames with LCD or OLED displays that burn energy nonstop, Duna uses power only when the image is changed. One charge can last up to a full year, and even when switched fully off, the artwork remains visible thanks to the power-off mode.

The new art “delivers the very deepest color hues and a completely authentic true-to-paper graphic print effect,” said Nicola Girotti, Pininfarina head of product design.

Girotti said Duna uses a large-format color ePaper display that mimics the texture, depth and tonal richness of printed paper, which can deliver gallery-grade visuals with no glare and ultra-low power consumption. The result is a wall-scale art experience that looks and feels analog yet is powered by advanced digital innovation, according to the company.

The designers said they conceived of Duna as a piece of furniture, designed for private homes, hotels and restaurants. Design House Pininfarina’s influence is central to the product’s identity, from its aluminum frame to its use of stitched Alcantara, a high-performance material synonymous with luxury automotive interiors.

“Our work with InkPoster brings together classic design values and modern display technology,” said Girotti. “By pairing an innovative color ePaper screen with crafted materials, we aimed to create a piece that looks timeless and behaves beautifully in any space. We believe it opens a new chapter in how technology belongs in the home.”

To mark the collaboration, the InkPoster App will also house an exclusive collection of original design sketches from the Pininfarina archives, offering owners a rare glimpse into the design house’s creative legacy.

InkPoster is a part of PocketBook brand portfolio, a Swiss-based company with nearly two decades of expertise in ePaper technology.

Duna premiered at CES 2026 in Las Vegas which wraps up tomorrow. The company said it will present its full collection of ePaper art posters to the design community at Salone del Mobile in Milan from April 21-26 of this year.
