My motto for the last 16 years has been “Style, Play Every Day”. It’s all about empowering, or giving permission, to have fun in your home decor, by trying new things, moving things from room to room without ever worrying about feeling “finished” or being perfect. I listen to a lot of psychology podcasts on how important it is to align your mood with your surroundings. That the fusion of your emotions in your home can drastically affect your life, long-term (and the well-being of your family). And while restyling your mantel or coffee table is where I used to do this, with the launch of my sofa collection, Room Service, I began trying out different sofas for different moods, occasions, or seasons in our living room. And the benefits of this on my life (and my marriage) have been remarkable. So incredible, actually, that we are launching a membership program, exclusive to blog readers, to join our “Sofa Of The Month” club.
How It Works
It’s simple: Your living room, four sofas, delivered four times a year. You become a member, and every season you will get that season’s sofa from our Room Service collection (additional FAQ below). You’ll choose the size and configuration, within the appropriate color palette. And we’ll arrange white glove delivery to your door in time for that season.
After three months, you’ll get the next sofa, in the next season’s color. It’s then your responsibility/joy to style the rest of the room to coordinate with that sofa (we have so many blog articles to help). If this repels you instantly, this likely isn’t for you, but for the rest of us who desire frequent change, that dopamine hit you get from getting something new, then I consider it a gift, a real weekend privilege. It’s the biggest excuse to cancel all your plans, throw on a podcast or music, and get to styling (Pro Tip: I find that white wine helps take this to the next creative level).
Spring: Pastels Inspired By Spring Florals

We are launching this in spring, so naturally, that’s the first sofa color palette you’ll receive. For this one, you can choose between our two “Barb” sofas, either the pale ocean blue velvet or the rose velvet – two of my favorites that I’m sitting on right now. They both feel fresh, happy, and perfectly appropriate for coming out of the winter hibernation. While this program is only one sofa, you can upgrade your membership to receive BOTH for an additional $2,500 fee (including white glove service).
Summer: Fresh, Clean, Bright, And Airy

This cream Milo sectional was so many of your favorites in our living room, and for good reason. I love how it keeps the room so bright and light, with just one simple shape. While I didn’t style with “summer colors,” I would absolutely suggest bringing in more teals, brighter pinks, and happy yellows.
When to expect: Memorial Day weekend (to give you the longer weekend to decorate).
Fall: Our Warm Rust Otto

For fall, you’ll get our Otto sofa in the warmest, coziest rust velvet. Shown here in the 84″, but it comes in 108″ as well (it’s the charcoal sofa in the living room of my brother’s River House). I actually find this color such an easy neutral to mix with a lot of other tones I love (as you can see above – great with blue, green, and gray), but for fall think mustards, aubergine, and navys. And definitely light that fire.
When to expect: August 15th, ideally corresponding with the first week of school for any of you moms (one of the calmest weeks of the year, right? With the house empty for you to have some alone time to decorate).
Winter: Forest Green Alice

Now for winter, you’ll receive the perfect tone of forest green velvet to celebrate Christmas. Now, if you are part of the first membership tier, you’ll only get one Alice sofa, but again, you can upgrade to get two matching Alices if you want to arrange them facing eachother like we did.
When to expect: This one will arrive early, mid-November, so that you have time to work it into your holiday Christmas decor. Consider it a Christmas gift from me to you (well, you are paying for it, so it’s more of a purchase than a gift, but the timing is festive).

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How will I get my sofa? Will they deliver to the curb or inside the home?
A: Your sofa will be placed inside your home, exactly where you want it.
Q: Who will Deliver The Sofas?
A: Brian. One unexpected outcome of my having a sofa line, stored in our garage, is that my husband, Brian, has realized it’s his dream to come over to anyone’s home and unnecessarily rearrange their furniture. He especially loves it when, after he places it, you stare at it for a while, then change your mind and ask him to move it. Repeat that process 3-4 times to see a level of joy on a man’s face that you may never see again. Don’t call it a job, it’s his calling.
Q: How much is the Sofa of the Month membership?
A: Our inaugural “Four Seasonal Sofa Package” will be $9,999 all in, which is just shy of $2500 each sofa, including free White Glove Brian delivery.
Q: Can I upgrade to a monthly membership? I want more sofas!
A: Absolutely, just not yet. As we design more sofas, we’ll be rolling out more monthly-specific colors, so expect this to launch in 2027 (red for December, a true orange for October, blue for July, you get it). Email: [email protected] to get on the waiting list.
Q: What do I do with my first sofa when my next sofa arrives?
A: I suggest hoarding the sofas, perhaps building a sofa-specific garage on your property (see ours here for inspiration). If you want Brian to come back and help you rearrange your garage to accommodate your next sofa, that can be arranged for an additional mood-based fee. Again, remember to not know exactly where you want it to go – your mid-lift indecision will bring the biggest smile to his face. He will do this shirtless on request (highly recommended).
