Nesting tables update: a concise orientation before we get practical.
Nesting tables update: Quick notes
I gave the most simple update to these glass topped nesting tables!
Hello sweet friends!
It’s that Tuesday time again. Trashy Treasures Tuesday, that is.

I’m sharing a cutie patootie little set of glass-topped nesting tables today. I found them at the ReStore, just sitting there so sad and wonky. But you know I brought them home to give them some good reloving.
Before we get to that, have y’all entered my Spring Giveaway yet?? Don’t miss out, there’s still time! Hop on over to enter to win! –>> Enter here!

So beat up, so wobbly.

I tightened them up as well as I could without completely taking them apart.
SAND
Then I sanded them to rough up the surface, even it out, and remove blemishes, getting it ready for paint.

CLEAN

Cleaned them up well.
PRIMER
Next, I used this primer before I painted. So nice to be able to go outside and do this. Yippee! The weather has been SO warm and beautiful the last few days.

PAINT
I’m feeling very “springy,” so I decided to use this gorgeous green color, Eucalyptus. I am not a huge green fan, but I absolutely adore this color.

One coat covered well.

I only had to touch up a few spots after the first coat dried.

I decided to fill these cracks with some caulk.

DISTRESS
Lastly, I thought they might look good with a little distressing, so once dry, I sanded all of the raised areas and edges.

DONE!
That was a super simple update.
But look how sweet they look now.

Completely different!

Isn’t that green just lovely?
And the slight distressing gives it some character, I think.

Can you believe these two Impatiens are cuttings from one (that I also still have) that my son brought home to me in a hand-painted pot when he was in 3rd grade?? And that was around 19 years ago!

And I have about 4 more cuttings in pots, too. Wow. (and no, I do not have a green thumb, so that is amazing! lol!)

While I was taking these photos, I looked to my right and saw Ryder boy, loving on his favorite, “baby bed”. haha! (That was his first baby bed in his tiny crate when he was a puppy, and he absolutely loves that old thing! Carries it from room to room.) He just had his 10-year birthday on the 28th of Feb. Can y’all believe that??!!

And I can’t leave out our sweet little Piper girl. She was to my left, lounging on a “blankie” in the new room. I have to leave throws around for here to snuggle up on. She loves them.

She will be 3 in May. How is that, also?! Gosh, time goes fast.
Anyway, not sure if I’ll keep these little glass topped nesting tables, but if I do, I might use them in here.

If not, they will hopefully find new life in someone else’s home.
