Deep green new: a concise orientation before we get practical.
Deep green new: Quick notes
Mapleton Project – Photography: Drone Your Homes, Builder: Robison Build Co, Architect: Think Architecture
Rich, moody color continues to define interiors this year, and deep green stands out as a timeless choice. In our recent Mapleton Project, we used saturated green tones to create spaces that feel grounded, layered, and intentional. This shade adds depth and warmth while still functioning like a neutral—classic, calming, and designed to last.

In the pantry, deep green cabinetry, painted in Salamander by Benjamin Moore, transforms a functional space into a true design moment. Glass-front built-ins, brass hardware, and warm wood accents allow the color to shine while keeping the space light and approachable. The green provides a rich backdrop for everyday items, proving that even hardworking rooms deserve thoughtful design and elevated finishes.

We carried this same palette into the powder bath, where deep green (Salamander by Benjamin Moore) wall treatments create a dramatic, moody atmosphere. Paired with marble surfaces, fluted textures, and warm brass fixtures, the color feels both refined and inviting. The result is a space that makes a statement while still feeling timeless—perfect for a room where bold design can truly shine.

In the home office, deep green built-ins create an enveloping, tailored feel that encourages focus and comfort. The color (Green Smoke by Farrow and Ball) adds depth to the millwork while allowing natural light, artwork, and furnishings to stand out. It’s a space that feels grounded and serene, yet elevated—ideal for both work and everyday living.

What we love most about deep green is how seamlessly it moves throughout a home. It creates continuity without repetition and pairs beautifully with natural materials like wood, stone, and aged metals. As homeowners look to move beyond all-white interiors, deep green offers a sophisticated way to introduce color—one that feels intentional, enduring, and effortlessly livable.
