Christmas Mantel and Kitchen – Southern Hospitality

Christmas Mantel and Kitchen – Southern Hospitality

I’m wrapping up my Christmas decorating today with the mantel and kitchen. I don’t do a lot here, but I always decorate the mantel and this year is pretty much the same as last year. I like the blue and white and red plaid ribbon so much, that I did the same this  year. The nutcrackers are a nice addition to the mantel too from last year. Have yourself a merry little Christmas is always a good sentiment. Maybe I’ll retire the sign one year, I’ve been using it a long time.

I got some real poinsettias this year too for the hearth along with those blue lanterns I found earlier this year. They can go with any season.

I love layering my garlands and adding Christmas greenery picks in them to beef them up, weaving pretty plaid ribbon throughout.

Those picks are a fave with the orange slices.

I found the longer garland at a local wholesaler that has beautiful greenery.

Mark’s mom passed along her ceramic Christmas tree to us a few years ago and I love adding it to a tray, with faux snow and little people from my old village collection I used to have. Aren’t they cute?

It’s a nice little Christmas vignette that I always look forward to. Mark’s snowman and Santa faces in the windows round out the kitchen. He loves those vintage pieces and they do add a certain charm.

I have this set of ornaments that I always add to this kitchen chandelier and they are so pretty, decorated glass with a garland woven above.

And I always add a few things to the shelves over my French buffet. These pieces are happy and fun for the holidays. I do love nutcrackers and that snowman cookie jar is something that Mark had. He says more cookies please on the front. That’s all for our Christmas decor this year. I hope you enjoyed it all! It doesn’t change that much from year to year, but I do mix things up a bit and it’s fun to move things around. Merry Christmas to you all, I hope you enjoy this season to the fullest!
