11 Things I Wish I Had Bought Sooner (February Edition)

Something amazing happened in January, and I missed it. I can’t believe it. I’m usually so on top of everything and somehow I slept on this.

All Creatures Great and Small just released Season 6.

Can you believe it?

Were you all watching it and no one mentioned it?

If you are new here? Here at Thistlewood, we’ve been fans of All Creatures Great and Small (and James Herriot’s books) since the very first season. It’s the sweetest show with the most amazing cast set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

Sigh.

Don’t worry.

I’m on it now. I’m catching up on all the episodes I missed.

But you know what I didn’t sleep on? These amazing finds. Every month, I share fun finds I discovered. Things that solve problems. Things that are cute. Things that bring a little joy on a winter day.

Here are 11 things that I wish I had bought sooner.

1. This scarf set

Let’s start with these.

I found this set when I was looking for twillys for my purses.

These scarves come in a set of 24 in all the colors you could ever look for. They feel like silk and each scarf is over 3 feet long.

And the entire set is under $15.

You can tie them on purses, tie them on a basket or a pillow for Valentine’s Day, tie them as a bracelet, or tie a pendant on and wear them as a necklace. The possiblities are endless.

2. This wool rug

I wanted to share this new rug I just got.

I’ll post it in the room once it gets here, but everything always sells out so quickly with the My Texas House line from Walmart.

This rug is UNDER $100 and has the most beautiful crewel work on it. It’s wool and it comes in three different sizes. I ordered the 9″ x 12″ for rhe TV room in the back. I looked at pictures and I think the second picture is more the color of the rug.

I’m so EXCITED!!!!

3. This wall outlet shelf

This is kind of genius.

Seriously.

Products like this always have me going, why didn’t I think of that.

This is a shelf that fits over the outlet which makes it perfect for an Alexa or a speaker or something that you want to hide the cord for.

4. This scalloped hand towel

Aren’t these the cutest?

I got them for the downstairs bath and they look like a high-end brand that I have similar hand towels from.

The towels are super absorbant and the blue is a lighter blue like you see here.

5. Blue and white battery-operated candles

I’ve been talking about battery-operated candles forever.

But all my other candles were cream or white.

And then I found these. They are blue and white and come with a remote with a timer.

6. This desk clamp charger

When I sit at my desk I have so many things to charge.

My computer.

My phone.

My laptop.

And on and on and on.

This clamps onto the side of your desk and then plugs into the wall, so it keeps everything neat and tidy and keeps a charger within your reach at all time.

7. This quilted vest

I was on the hunt for a puffer vest.

I wanted one that wasn’t too puffy, but had a generous fit with a quilted look.

This vest is amazing. It runs a little large and is longer so it’s perfect for leggings. It comes in so many different colors. I have it in black and the cream.

8. This 26″ boxwood wreath

I ordered this wreath for my daughter-in-law for Christmas and it’s so pretty.

She wanted a wreath she could leave up all year and then four wreath sashes for each of the seasons.

One wreath, four wreath sashes. This wreath is perfect for that and it’s so big. It measures 26″ and it’s really full and looks so pretty with a wreath sash.
