Post sounds like. A brief context to set expectations.

Post sounds like: Quick notes

// blue and white pillow //

Blogging is a two-dimensional media.

A blogger writes and a reader reads.

I talk like I write so I’m always trying to make my voice heard. I CAPITALIZE WORDS WHEN I’M REALLY EXCITED. I italicize words when I’m wondering or wistful or agreeing or confused. I use standalone words when I’m incredulous. Like seriously? Or really? I’m always *sighing* or rolling my eyes or adding total asides or extra exclamation points.

It’s all in an attempt to make the words talk.

Or leap off the page.

Or become more than just an a or a b or a c.

But what if?

What if I could READ the story to you?

What if you could pull up a chair in my living room just like this one and listen to me read a story to you?

What if I could put the laughing or the sadness or the inflection or the joy or the wonder that I’m trying to create with these simple letters on a page?

Have you ever wondered what a post sounds like?

Oh, good.

Then this is the place for you.

Did it sound like you thought it would?

Really?

I hope so.

Because recording these stories?

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

PS  I wish I could record a smile. 🙂
