Talk about moments you’ll never forget. I’m pretty sure my pub day for The Summer I Found You will go down as my most favorite professional day of all time! It began as a pretty normal day, driving my youngest to a lifeguard training, and then opening my Instagram to hundreds of likes, shares, comments, reposts, and celebratory emojis. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was overwhelmed in the best way possible. I was showered with so much love and support that my heart felt like it would burst. Then it was off to The Next Chapter for a Q & A with June Gervais.

The Summer I Found You. Your Next Beach Read
My friends brought their friends! We covered the gamut of book talk from HGTV to Nancy Meyers to what inspired this book. Was there anything autobiographical? What made me want to write this book, and of course, I read. And there was a sign from my grandmother in this book.

There were so many days I wasn’t sure this would EVER happen, so to be fully present for this night, the chatting and signing afterward was surreal. I have to admit, I thought I would be nervous, but I was too excited to be nervous. Plus, my moderator was the most wonderful fellow author.

To think I could have given up and walked away from this dream because it was too hard. And I would have been in my right mind to do so. But it’s proof that hard things lead to bright moments!

I have to say, I have the most incredible friends & family! I am very blessed. Many friendships are over 40+ years.

Time to cut this beautiful cake. Ugh, this was a tough one, but SO worth it. It was delicious!

My book is also on AUDIO. You can find it on Spotify and Audible. If you have a Spotify membership, it could be included.

This week I also feature in James Lane Post, a magazine in the Hamptons and North Fork. You can read the article HERE.

If there are any Long Island readers, this event at Pellegrini will be incredible. It’s hosted by A Book Place, and you can find more info HERE.

Have a happy day, friend!

PS · What a charming tip — I’m encouraged to try it. Thanks for this!
