Hello sweet friends!
How many days until spring? OH, TWO!! Yay!!
I am so beyond ready. And so sick of the cold this year. However, I really hope we get an actual spring, ya know?? Considering we’ve already had 80’s, I’d say it’s not looking good. lol
With that in mind, I’m sharing the perfect post today to get us on our way. Bunnies and all. A little bit of paint, napkin decoupage, and pretty transfers to brighten these 3 thrifted finds right on up.
Before we get to that, I want to congratulate the 3 winners of my recent giveaway!! I’ve only heard back from one so far, so please check your email for one from me. I’ll be redrawing for the other 2 winners if I don’t hear from you two very soon!
Here’s what I found…
Hey, that one is already good to go for spring! Ha, nope, it’s getting a new look, too.
Let’s talk about the print set first.

I decided to use some leftover greenery transfers on them.
But first, they got paint.

My favorite white, Victorian Lace.
I rolled it on the fronts only. Leaving the sides natural.

Then I worked out how I would apply the transfers.

But it looked a bit…blah.
So, I pulled out some leftovers from another transfer.

This pretty script transfer. I also used it on this project: Update Old Artwork with Decor Transfers
I just cut pieces until I filled both of them up.

Don’t these make the prettiest base?

Next, I layered the leaf transfers over the script.

For the edges, I decided to use a stain to darken them.

You can see that the one on the left is dark, and the one on the right is not done yet.

Simple! And a fresh new look.
Now, let’s do the bunny makeovers. I love this napkin with the bunny and wreath.

This “springy” green paint, Conservatory, matched the napkin perfectly.
Before the green paint, though, I gave both of these a quick spray with white primer.

And then used my same fave white paint over that. Followed by painting the inner section green, leaving the frame and the inset areas white.

I carefully cut around the napkin design, separated the 3 parts, and used only the top section.

It’s a little too large, so I’ll trim it on the top and bottom.

Like so. I actually did this before I used the Decoupage gel to attach it. You can do it either way, really.

And that’s it! Another coat of Decoupage gel over the top, and done.

Lastly, I’ll share the “love” wood tray makeover.

I painted that one with the same white as above.

And pulled out some old transfers for this one, too.
As I was applying the transfers over these slats, I went in and cleared the transfer from the open areas.

Here’s what I found for the rest of the tray. Isn’t it so cute?

Don’t ya know, the darn slat had to be right in the center where my bunny needed to go?? haha

That’s okay, it looks fine once cleared.

The tray got a little distressing to add to the look.

I didn’t change anything with the handles, just removed to paint and replaced.

Here are a few shots of them around the house.

These would be cute just about anywhere.

Sweet bunny wreath.

The tray. This one is my favorite.

Napkin decoupage, paint, and transfers. Plus, 3 thrifted finds. Simple, fun, and inexpensive spring decor!
PIN it to save it!

Have a wonderful rest of the week and happy almost spring, friends!
xoxo
