Industry veterans launch: Quick notes

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Aitomic, a new artificial intelligence company created by industry veterans, officially launched Jan. 1, with a mission to modernize the sector’s operational backbone. Unlike general‑purpose AI platforms, Aitomic delivers automation tools designed for the specific workflows, sales cycles, and digital demands of manufacturers, rep agencies, and retailers.

The new tech company was founded by Phanindra Parlapalli, who brings 29 years of industry experience, including 20 years as chief operating officer at Young’s. Parlapalli said he created Aitomic to address long‑standing operational inefficiencies that have intensified as the industry shifts toward digital selling and omnichannel content demands.

“For decades, our industry has relied on manual processes, disconnected systems, and time‑intensive content creation,” said Parlapalli, CEO and founder. “Aitomic was built by people who have lived these challenges firsthand. Our goal is to give companies the automation infrastructure they need to scale efficiently without losing the relationship‑driven foundation that defines this industry.”

Parlapalli is joined by co-founders Matt Darr, chief revenue officer with 25 years of industry experience, and Rekha Nair, chief technology officer with 28 years in enterprise technology and operational systems.

The leadership team says the company’s mission is “to use AI as an atomic force for change: transforming how businesses operate, create and compete in an AI-driven world.”

The company focuses on three core areas:

  • Manufacturers and Importers: Accelerate product digitization and catalog creation by 10 times while automating content across all sales channels, plus comprehensive supply chain management solutions
  • Rep Agencies: Streamline manufacturer-to-rep information flow through integration tools and automated image management, ensuring representatives have complete product assets while maintaining essential customer relationships
  • Retailers: Deploy SARA (Smart Assistant for Retail), an AI-powered assistant that helps retailers save time on routine tasks to focus on what they love most

“The launch comes as the industry faces mounting pressure to modernize,” the company said in a release. “Companies are navigating increasingly complex supply chains, shortened selling cycles, and the need for consistent digital content across multiple channels.”

Aitomic is currently onboarding companies through a controlled rollout phase. Manufacturers, rep agencies and retailers interested in joining the company’s early partner program can request access at [email protected].
