This week on Dezeen, we reported on MIT’s tiny, bee-sized flying robot, which could someday help with search-and-rescue missions.

Measuring four centimetres wide and weighing under one gram, the micro robot was designed to fit through tight spaces and, in the future, may be used by rescue teams or to inspect tight spaces like turbine engines.

As the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) got underway in Morocco, British-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori unveiled the Man of the Match trophies, which will be awarded to the best player in each of the tournament’s 52 games.

“The concept was to design a trophy that richly celebrates and represents the 24 participating nations, but also celebrates the host Morocco,” Ilori told Dezeen.
