We are eight months out until publication day of The Summer I Found You! I still want to pinch myself. For a young girl who struggled to find her place academically, to find herself here, it’s surreal to say the least. The tiniest flicker of hope stayed lit, even when becoming a traditionally published author seemed so out of reach. I kept going. I couldn’t give up because that would feel like losing hope in myself. There were too many rejections to count, accompanied by many dark days, but I was determined. I felt in my heart that I was meant to be a storyteller from a young age. My imagination was wild, free, and untamed. Looking back, I had no clue I’d end up here. The only reason I am is because I didn’t give up. THE ONLY REASON!

The kid who struggled to read and write wrote a book, and now it’s getting published! And I could use your help! I’m looking for a street team to help spread the word. You may be wondering, What is a street team? A street team is composed of interested readers who want to help boost book sales and promote an author on social media, sharing the book(s) with as many people as they can.
If you are a part of my street team, you’ll share my books on social media and do shout-outs on your blog. You’ll recommend my book to book clubs or indie bookstores. I will provide graphics so you can share on your own feed. There will be giveaways to share. And lastly, you’ll leave reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, and other retailers’ sites.
As a thank you, you’ll get sneak peeks, including Cover reveals, ARCS, book swag, and be the first to know about future projects. The time commitment is whatever you’re comfortable with. While active participation is a requirement, many of the activities take very little time. Some take more time than others; please contribute in whatever way you can.
If you’re interested, you can fill out the GOOGLE FORMS. Once sign-ups close and I review them, I will send you an email with a link to the Google doc, and you will be added to the IG chat.
